Big Bang MADE Tour, Sydney Experience (17.10.15)

Hello, everyone!

I haven't done a blog post in a little while, since I have been busy again with work, university, lots of appointments to the dentist and doctors as well as preparing FOR BIG BANG'S CONCERT IN SYDNEY. Woo hoo!

As soon as I heard that Big Bang were coming to Australia, I was at the dinner table when my friend messaged me the news, I was jumping up and down screaming internally. Australia, for a while now, has been this giant island in the southern hemisphere that gets little recognition by KPOP companies, but this year we have had solo artists and BTS come and perform, and for a huge group like Big Bang to come, in my opinion, it means a lot, because this could potentially show that Australia is marketable enough to hold lots of concerts here.

Seungri swore just before his solo and I may have let out the biggest dolphin scream, omg.

So, I live in Brisbane, and the only concerts were in Sydney and Melbourne. But nonetheless, I was determined to go. I had enough to buy cheap plane tickets and stay at cheap accommodation for one night, no problem. The only that almost held me back was the idea of travelling alone (I am an idiot for even not consider going) but thankfully, I did go with a friend. Even if I had to go alone, I would have, since the members will be starting to enlist for their mandatory military service within the next couple of years - this could be an opportunity I won't receive again for a while.

Organising the trip was no problem, as well as flying, it was getting to the stadium that was extremely stressful and anxious for me. I was under the impression you couldn't collect concert tickets at the arena, thanks to the fine print I got in an email that said so, so I dragged my friend around finding a ticketek outlet to print our tickets, but we arrived five minutes after they closed. We went by an uber as well, which cost a lot of money =.= The lady at the outlet who told us they were closed was really mean as well.

I am literally the biggest idiot for not just calling arena from the very start and asking if you could collect the tickets (since, what kind of arena wouldn't let you do that, honestly?), but phone calls really make me nervous but it would have saved me stress, money and time. I have so much regret in this field, wow.

Ideally, I wanted to arrive in the afternoon rather than an hour before the concert. But when travelling with other people, it's a bit difficult for everything to go as planned. We arrived about an hour before the concert, picked up the tickets, and lined up to buy a light stick that I desperately wanted.

All of this was worth it, of course. The concert was beyond brilliant. The energy that Big Bang bring to the stage is unlike any other. I have to admit, I spent a bit too much filming because I hoped that I could share the experience with my friends back in Queensland, but why I even bothered, I don't know, since no one even cared. Sydney did a fan event where when Big Bang sung "Blue" we all turned off our yellow, crown lightsticks and kept our blue lights on and lit up the whole stadium like a blue ocean. It was spectacular, especially with 20,000 people doing it.

After this concert, Seungri kind of skyrocketed through my favourite people list - he may have the reputation of a bit of playboy, but he is so hilarious and a happy mood maker, I can't help but love him. Big Bang overall skyrocketed through my favourite group list, what am I talking about. Seungri said that Sydney is one of the most beautiful places he has been to and he wants to tell his mum, and uncle and everyone :')

I got back home, and still couldn't believe it all happened. Honestly, I cried several times during the concert, since these people give me so much life and energy through a computer screen, that seeing it in person made me so freaking happy. I, personally, have been in a very bad place these past three months and this is something that has genuinely made me so happy for a while. That sounds so silly, but I just need to express that. Doesn't everyone have something that they really enjoy, that other people would think is weird or silly? Well, that's like that for me. You never know how much something so simple can really make a person happy, no matter what you think of it.

That is why I am eternally grateful for this opportunity. Even if barely any of my friends wished me to have fun and none of them asked how it was, I knew that doing something as outrageous as this is something good for me. I will learn, grow and push myself out of my comfort zone in order to become happier. I had to do this for myself, I need to remember that.

Have you guys been to any concerts recently? How was your experience? Do you have anything that makes you really happy like this - or am I just a lost cause right now, haha? Honestly, I am going to strive more for the happiness of others, as well, my own happiness. I will do my best to share this through my blog.

Enjoy life!
